I’m stating a series of blog posts that has taken many years to finally put down on paper…many friends, family members and business/work colleagues have no idea the challenge life laid down for me and the choice to either GIVE UP or literally fight for a fantastic life was up to me.
Born premature, with One Kidney and a chronic disease – it’s fair to say my first Relentless Challenge began the day i was born. 2 Hospital stays, 1 Major Operation, told Dialysis was inevitable and a short life was something to prepare for…I will open up to what I had to achieve physically and a mental mindset so laser focused – it has and continues to defy medicine as I reversed the function of my organ.
Relentless Challenge has been running for 4 years and it has always been about raising money for those not as fortunate as me. I have raced dogs in the Arctic, sailed/kayak and surfed in the Caribbean – competed in triathlons – danced with famous urban and breakdance trainers – Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do – Go Kart Champion – Competed in the Obstacle Course Runs – food challenges to include only some of the challenges completed and there is a long list to complete.
I haven’t disclosed this fully to anyone but my wife – but for years she tried to get me to tell my story i refused! I did not want the attention and certainly did not want to get sympathy and be looked like i was the ill kid/Man. I’m known to be the fit, ripped 6 pack guy with muscles – how is it possible that he has a condition?!
So why now? Travelling the World and doing these challenges has been great and raising money for charities has been so worth it – but it has been in internal battle knowing i have fought the condition and reversed it! Surely i can now inspire people with a disease (both physical and mental) that the human mind can be tuned to fight back against disease! Well I can and now I will.
My blogs will be a raw account of life from Birth, childhood to adulthood. The dark times and the fucking bullet proof mentality that helped me become an athlete, Entrepreneur and just a guy who loves life and wants to help others – becoz being there in the dark times when i was 13 and 3 pipes coming out of my abdomen on my Birthday wondering why me…it was the turning point in my life from a young age.
So what next: through social media, i have received invitations around the World to complete physical and mental challenges…from Japan to Oz to Durban. With the support of my amazing wife – this journey is ready to be explored.

They say we all have a calling – I have mine and I have raised the stakes.
Subscribe and stayed tuned for some frank events and conversations.
Carpe Diem
