It’s been a While…and yes that’s me locking during a breakdance routine challenge!!! More on that later.
It has been a few months since my last blog and to say that opened up avenues is an understatement and also closed some paths too.
As mentioned in previous blogs, my kidney function has been improving steadily over the years however the last 6 months has seen a dramatic shift for the better (much to the surprise and happiness of my consultant) with my solo kidney function and it is once again down to a clean diet, training and mindset
Just to be clear my CKD ‘condition’ is NOT life threatening but in fact I’m trying to communicate I’m reversing the condition in hand and I am a multi-disciplined athlete.
After my last blog I had an influx of friends, family, strangers, charities contacting me, launching a fintech start up & spending time with my boy, there was no time to update this blog. BUT to make my vision and awareness of Relentless Challenge, I have had to shuffle areas of my life. So much so I’ve raised the level and bar on both mental and physical challenges.
I have been drawn towards helping mental health charities. That’s the common trend I’m coming across when speaking to friends family and entrepreneurs. I want to help people to overcome self- doubt and show that a regular Jack like me can bring mindfulness, energy and relentless perseverance to anything I put my mind on. Of course you must have a passion…and quickly removing things and people who blur and bring negativity is one big step.
Most common question I’m asked is what I did mentally to make such a turnaround? Like every human I wake up and sometimes have that blue mood feeling…it is something to embrace and not fight and an opportunity to re-evaluate what you, say and do daily…write a fucking diary or inserts in a notepad like I do…its invaluable to qualify thoughts when your brain is on that high level of thinking. I will be writing more about this in the coming weeks.
So what’s happening on the challenge front? I can’t wait to share what’s happened and happening on both the physical/fitness & the mindfulness/mental front.
