How fast has this year gone?!…that’s a typical saying for most of us. Slowing time down to balance all activities has been a focus of mine to fit in the new disciplines alongside all my regular training this year (new ones include Parkour/Free Running, Gymnastics, Break-dancing & induction to a Tenpin Bowling League!! Training two to three times a day has been a challenge – i have a full blown respect for athletes and their discipline. Add to this prepping for a new entrepreneurial Artificial Intelligence start-up to complement and incorporate my other 2 ventures has been tough AND spending the most valuable and important time with my little one.
Being a Dad is the greatest thing…but also a relentless challenge! I have been at home since he arrived on this Planet and he will be part of the Relentless Challenge in the not too distant future. I know these special days with the kid will never come back and I am still taking full advantage of spending a lot time with the sprog meaning sacrificing other goals including challenges, business and personal development goals – however the memories are just golden.
However saying that a lot has been achieved this year and it all adds to the foundation of an epic journey and challenges I’m setting up. The planning is insanely complex and difficult. My vision of the future has me so driven that I am guilty of not living in the present but honestly I have no regrets as the goal will be worth it.
The last 4 month has seen a non-digital approach. My Instagram Account has received some interest and secured some sponsor pledges for future challenges in both money and equipment. But I enforced a break from regular social media posting and instead using the old fashioned telephone & face-2-face technique, planning & speaking to potential sponsors. Truth is I’ve enjoyed the mini break from social media. I have achieved extraordinary health improvements which has drawn more interest and I am more than willing to help anyone who will listen. My last 2 blogs have been spaced out for good reason…to see what people thought and not think at all as has been the case and most importantly, getting the attention of charities and sponsors who want to help raise awareness of the mindset and physical training to help people who have diseases including mental health issues – a big disease that has been brushed under the carpet but thankfully is getting more air time the past 2 years.
Look forward to posting my next blog very soon – ‘Mr Badhan – Please Explain Yourself!!!’
Happy New Year
