So what started off as a bit of fun has turned into an invitation to join a Ten Pin Bowling league.
This is an interesting challenge – my bowling technique is far from brilliant and in fact I use the ‘wrong’ two fingers. The middle and wedding band finger is the correct technique however i use my index and middle. Also I throw hard straight and fast whereas the pros use incredible spin to angle the bowling bowl correctly at the pins…something I will need to average a 200+ score.
Here is a GO PRO video of my technique which leads to a strike.
So the next step is to buy my own bowling bowl and shoes – all very grown up. Will probably be the youngest man there but very willing to learn from the wise pros.
My stats are not bad. I average 160 points per game. My highest score is 199 and my record of strikes in a row is currently 5 strikes.
Why do I like this sport so much? Its about getting the right mind set to keep on hitting consistent strikes and half-strikes. And now i will have to step up, change my game and compete with the Pros.
