90 Day Summer Shred – The Result

Winter 2022 is here and reflecting back on the summer shred challenge I set myself is always a good thing to do and document both as a blog and as a personal progression guide so here is a quick summary:

3 objectives set  – 3 objectives met. Here is a recap

Objective1: 90 days of training everyday, eating well everyday…and having the wellbeing and mindset of a monk crossed with a gladiator.

Result: 90 days met including a large chunk of time living in Tuscany, Italy where in fact I increased the intensity of each HIIT session. Living on the beach and with headwinds such as pizza, pasta and gelato…I felt it was required. Beach sprints as pictured above was the fun training and also keeping an eye on my son’s sprinting technique – he is more of a natural than me!! Training when the head says no is when the robot button turns on….it has to to overcome the natural human tendency to let the foot off the pedal. It feels good afterwards even if the intensity is not quite there.

Objective 2: 90 days shred to 8% body fat. Intermittent 16/8 fasting. Moderated low carb high fat nutrition.

Result: 8.7% body fat…6 kg shredded and increased muscle strength. Total win however I decided I over-shredded so ate my way back up to 1kg. Carbs and gelato was the staple diet in Italy and I enjoyed it the month I lived there. Intermittent Fasting is now the norm and training in this window twice if possible is the true flame to health in my opinion.

Objective 3: Balance 1 & 2 while being my son’s fulltime World Schooling Coach and building my various entrepreneurial ventures and continue my breakneck speed of learning new skills.

Result: Worldschooling is seeing the World and this was country number 4 in a pandemic period. Beach life…Italian Life…benissmo. I am an official web3 Move to earn athlete….it’s the Wild West still but earning crypto as an athlete is worth a punt.

Now this challenge was not without various headwinds and yes some Oreos sneaked in here and there. Gelato was the case and point but how can you refuse the best ice cream in the World.

Mindset was tested and a relentless mindset won through but I feel it has more levels to climb. The environment you live in induces conscious and unconscious thoughts and it’s important to clear the trash and focus on the important things and continue pushing the boundaries…continue making a difference and continue to lead by example. Life zips by…stay still or stay hungry.

Love life – Stay Relentless
